Stable Rules & Safety Policies

To ensure a safe and respectful environment for our clients, volunteers, staff, and therapy horses, we ask all visitors to follow the guidelines below. These rules help us maintain the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and care for our herd.

What to Wear
For everyone’s safety and comfort around horses, proper attire is required.

Closed-toe shoes only (boots or sturdy sneakers preferred)

No sandals, Crocs, or open-toed footwear

Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing

No loose jewelry (dangling earrings, long necklaces, bracelets, etc.)

Long hair should be secured away from the face

Behavior & Conduct
Equestrian Bridges is a healing environment. We expect all guests to contribute to a calm, respectful atmosphere.

No cussing or inappropriate language

No alcohol or substances of any kind

Treat all staff, volunteers, clients, and visitors with respect

Follow all instructions from EB staff and trained volunteers

Photography Policy
To protect the privacy and dignity of our participants:

No photos or videos of clients are permitted at any time

Photos of horses or the property may be allowed only with staff approval

All photos must follow the guidelines set by our EB photo release policies

Herd & Barn Safety
Our herd is the heart of Equestrian Bridges. Please help us keep them safe.

Do not approach, pet, or feed any horse without staff approval. Treats are NOT allowed.

Always respect each horse’s space and boundaries

Never enter stalls, paddocks, or arenas unless directed by staff

Follow all barn safety rules communicated during training or orientation

Weather Policy
Your safety and the safety of our animals comes first.

If lightning is detected, all sessions and activities are paused
-
We observe a full 30-minute wait after each lightning strike before resuming
-
Severe weather may delay or cancel sessions for safety
-
When in doubt, always call or text to confirm whether your session or volunteer shift is still running
