The Volunteer Pathway

Advanced Volunteer

Best for experienced volunteers seeking leadership | Ages 16+ (Valid DL)

  • Must complete & pass General Volunteer Training

  • Advanced horse care & management

  • Quarterly training with Cory Bourque

  • Hoodie recognition

  • Levels 2 & 3: groundwork, tacking, riding

General & Program Volunteer

Best for beginners | Ages 16+ (valid DL)

  • First Step to become EB Volunteer

  • Daily barn care

  • office & fundraising tasks

  • Training provided

  • EB T-shirt

  • Pathway to Session or Advanced​

Session & Lesson

Volunteer​

Best for those who want direct client & horse interaction | Ages 16+ (Valid DL)​​

  • Must complete Advanced Level 1

  • Lead & side-walk in sessions

  • Work with instructors & clients

  • Hands-on program involvement

Daily Volunteer Tasks

Morning Muck Meditation & Grooms 

(General Volunteer)

Ages 16+ 

Help maintain the health and wellbeing of our therapy horses by grooming, cleaning stalls, feed & water bowls and keeping our stables fresh and clean for a happy place for our 4 legged friends to live!​

Evening Muck Meditation & Grooms

(General Volunteer)

Ages 16+ 

Help maintain the health and wellbeing of our therapy horses by grooming, cleaning stalls, feed & water bowls and keeping our stables fresh and clean for a happy place for our 4 legged friends to live!​

Animal Love

Equine Management Team

Ages 16+ *$50  application/training  fee

Train to be an Advanced Volunteer, levels 1,2, and 3, learn how to work and warm up the Therapy Horses. Level 3 learn to ride and exercise the herd. Must have already attended a general training.​

Corporate & Team Give Back Days

Bring your team and help out at the stables! Groom horses, clean stalls & work on special projects tailored for your group!
