We need a Derby Village!
There's lots of brainstorming happening at the stables, and we would LOVE for you to be part of it!
Our first Derby Planning Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 20th, 12-1 PM at the stables- bring lunch if needed!

Committees & Roles:

Fundraising Team – Secures sponsorships, ensures sponsor perks are fulfilled, and sends heartfelt thank-yous (via the Gratitude Team).
Sponsorship commitments, logos, and funds are due mid-March. ​  Venue & Décor Team – Plans the event layout, tents, stage, porta-potties, parking, and all décor to give us a Mini Churchill Downs feel. ​ Silent Auction Team – Collects, organizes, and sets up auction items, tracks bids, processes payments, and ensures donors receive proper thanks. ​ Games Team – Oversees activities like Horse Chip Game, Wine Pull, Horseshoes, Betting Stations, Whiskey Barrel, 50/50 Raffle, and more. ​ Volunteer Team – Recruits and organizes volunteers, runs training, and keeps everyone prepped and ready for event day. ​ Mini Race Horse Team – Preps our adorable mini racers! Manages silks, rose wreaths, podium, winner’s trophy, race practice, and ensures horses are race-day ready. (Must have horse experience!) ​ Big Hat/Bow Tie Contest Team – Works with Citiscapes, runs photo booths, organizes a "Pretty Woman Day" package, and plans fun contests. ​ Advertising & Marketing Team – Promotes the event through radio, magazines, social media, and other creative outlets. ​ Food & Beverage Team – Ensures guests experience the best Derby-themed eats & drinks. ​ Gratitude Team – Spreads ALL the love through creative thank-yous to sponsors, donors, and attendees.
