What we'll Cover:

Throughout the two-day clinic, riders will work with Cory to improve the fundamentals that create a more responsive, willing and confident ranch riding horse.

Topics will include:

  • Forward, willing movement

  • Transitions & body control

  • Softness, responsiveness & connection

  • Improving maneuvers

  • Pattern execution

  • Stops, turns & leads

The clinic will combine horsemanship fundamentals with practical ranch riding application, allowing riders to work through skills and receive individualized feedback throughout the weekend.

Learn From AQHA Professional Horseman Cory Bourque

Cory Bourque brings years of professional horsemanship, training and coaching experience to this two-day clinic.

Rather than simply working through a pattern, riders will focus on creating the quality of movement, responsiveness and communication needed to build a better overall ride.

This is an opportunity to work directly with Cory, ask questions, troubleshoot challenges with your horse and develop skills that translate both at home and in the show pen.

A Judge's Perspective

Additional Insight from Nicole Bourque

Riders will also have the unique opportunity to gain insight from AAA Judge Nicole Bourque with the American Horsemen Challenge Association (AHCA).

Nicole will provide a judge's perspective on what judges look for in a performance, helping riders better understand how to improve their:

Overall performance • Presentation • Maneuver execution • Pattern execution

This added perspective gives riders the opportunity to understand not only how to improve their ride, but how that ride is evaluated from the judge's seat.
