
Equine & Facility Manager
The Equine & Facilities Manager is a key leadership role at Equestrian Bridges, responsible for the care, training, and well-being of our therapy horses while overseeing the facilities and property that support our programs. Therapy horses are valued partners in our mission, and this role ensures they receive the highest standard of care, handling, and safety.
Working closely with staff, volunteers, and leadership, the Equine & Facilities Manager helps ensure daily operations run smoothly, safely, and in alignment with Equestrian Bridges’ mission.
This role is responsible for:

Overseeing daily care, health, and welfare of all therapy horses

Managing feeding programs, veterinary, farrier, dental care, and equine records

Supporting horse training, handling, and session readiness

Leading and guiding equine staff, interns, and volunteers in proper horsemanship and safety practices

Maintaining barns, arenas, paddocks, fencing, and pasture systems

Ensuring facilities are safe, organized, and prepared for sessions, events, and outreach

Collaborating with leadership on facility improvements and resource management

Supporting operational efficiency, safety standards, and long-term sustainability

Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years of horse experience required

Strong knowledge of horse behavior, handling, and welfare standards

Experience leading, training, or supervising staff, interns, or volunteers

Ability to work confidently in a therapeutic riding or equine-assisted environment

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Comfortable using technology for scheduling, documentation, and communication

Ability to problem-solve, work independently, and manage multiple priorities
