Advanced Volunteer

Advanced Volunteers are experienced members of our team who want to deepen their skills and take on greater responsibility at the barn. After completing General Volunteer Training, Advanced Volunteers receive specialized instruction in horse handling, equine care, and stable management.

What are the Advanced Levels?

Work closely with staff on advanced equine and stable management tasks with Advanced Volunteering:

• • Level 1 (Included with General) : Haltering and Picking Horses Hooves / Fly Spray​​​

​

• Progress through additional levels of skill development: 

  • Level 2 (additional $50 + EB Hoodie): Groundwork and tacking therapy horses

    • ​Take part in a quarterly 1-day audit with Cory Bourque for continued training. TBA (March 2026)

• • Level 3  (Included with Level 2) : Riding and exercising therapy horses for lessons & sessions​
