Certified Riding Instructor 

As an Certified Riding Instructor at Equestrian Bridges, you will play a vital role in guiding participants through horseback riding lessons that combine skill-building, safety, and personal growth. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to work with children and individuals with special needs, and the adaptability to tailor each lesson to meet the unique goals of every rider.

The instructor is responsible for creating lesson plans, teaching horsemanship and riding skills, and ensuring sessions remain task-oriented, safe, and supportive. Success in this role means not only teaching participants to ride confidently but also fostering independence, resilience, and trust through the bond between horse and rider.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Certification in PATH, CHA, Egala, Etc.​

  • Instructional Skills: Ability to create structured lesson plans and keep participants engaged while teaching riding techniques.

  • Adaptability & Awareness: Skilled in accommodating riders with a range of needs and remaining attentive to both the horse and rider throughout the session.

  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Compassionate, patient, and effective communicator with children, families, and participants with diverse backgrounds.

  • Equine Knowledge: Confident handling and teaching around horses, with a focus on safety and positive learning experiences.

  • Task Orientation: Ability to keep lessons goal-focused while maintaining a fun and supportive environment.

  • Optional but Preferred: Experience or certification in therapeutic/adaptive riding instruction (e.g., PATH International OR CHA Certification).
